Jesus, Lord of All Things
Mark 2:23-3:6; Matthew 12:3-8; John 10:10; Luke 14:3-7
Jesus proved many times that His Lordship was over all things. He healed and made people whole on the Sabbath. In their legalistic pride, the Pharisees were quick to make an enemy of Jesus for "working" on the Sabbath. Jesus emphasized that the Sabbath is a gift to mankind to receive rest and refreshment, not to confine men to man-made laws. He wants to bring us good, while His enemies wish to harm us.
